Extraordinary beauty in this silver turquoise pendant


Brand new to our range and featuring a bold, large square cut turquoise gemstone, this incredible pendant is eye-catching and a joy to wear. The centre square turquoise gemstone is 15 x 15 mm and the overall size of the pendant including the scrolls and swirls around the stone is 27 x 27 mm. The amount of detail in the frame is just incredible. 

Turquoise is the birthstone for December and is said to have healing properties, and to stimulate romantic love.

The history of turquoise goes back a long way. Turquoise originally got it's name from the Turkish merchants who used to carry the beautiful stone to Europe to trade. They marched many miles driving huge camel caravans that carried not only the gorgeous turquoise stones but also spices, cloths and other jewels and gems. When the stones arrived in Germany they were named 'Stone of Turkey' which over the years became known as turquoise.
