Gorgeous sterling silver heart pendant with teardrop turquoise 


You will love this stunning turquoise heart pendant, it measures just over 3 cms across and is 3.6cms in total length including the bale where the chain threads through. The open silver heart features a stunning teardrop shaped turquoise gemstone that is 16 x 10 mm in size. The pendant can be purchased alone or has the option in the drop down box of purchasing a 50cm snake chain which is a perfect match for the pendant. We also have a selection of other types and lengths of chains.

Turquoise is the birthstone for December and is said to have healing properties, and to stimulate romantic love.

The history of turquoise goes back a long way. Turquoise originally got it's name from the Turkish merchants who used to carry the beautiful stone to Europe to trade. They marched many miles driving huge camel caravans that carried not only the gorgeous turquoise stones but also spices, cloths and other jewels and gems. When the stones arrived in Germany they were named 'Stone of Turkey' which over the years became known as turquoise.
