Stunning filigree pendant with gorgeous turquoise gemstone 


Althought this pendant is reasonably big measuring 35mm in diameter, it is actually rather delicate due to the cool filigree silver patterning. The turquoise gemstone is 10mm. The bale, where the chain threads through, has the same filigree pattern and is large enough to take your favourite chain, or browse our chain selection to find the design and length you like.

Turquoise is the birthstone for December and is said to have healing properties, and to stimulate romantic love.

The history of turquoise goes back a long way. Turquoise originally got it's name from the Turkish merchants who used to carry the beautiful stone to Europe to trade. They marched many miles driving huge camel caravans that carried not only the gorgeous turquoise stones but also spices, cloths and other jewels and gems. When the stones arrived in Germany they were named 'Stone of Turkey' which over the years became known as turquoise.
